Why serve at Church?
Jesus didn’t just serve, He gave everything. As His followers, we’re invited to reflect that same heart of sacrificial servanthood (one of our core values at CCW). It’s not about doing more, but about becoming more like Him, living generously, humbly, and with others in mind.
Serving on a team is one way we contribute to what Jesus is doing through His church. It’s not about ticking a box, it’s about playing your part in something bigger.
You don’t have to volunteer. But we’ve found that when people start trusting Jesus, something shifts- they want to serve. So don’t overcommit. Just pick one team, give what you can, and keep showing up. You’ll find it not only helps others, it’ll shape you too!
Areas to serve in
Passionate about raising young disciples? Help shape the next generation:
– Playgroup (Thursdays)
– Kinders & Kids Church (Sundays)
– Youth Group (Thursdays)
– Teen Church (Sundays)
Creative or musically gifted Use your talents to inspire and lead others:
– Media Team (sound, visuals, filming)
-Music Team (vocals or instruments)
Have the gift of hospitality Make people feel welcome and at home:
– Welcome Team (Sundays)
– Sunday cafe
– Event Catering
– Be a part of meal trains for people in need
Want to help things run smoothly behind the scenes?
– Facility repairs & maintenance (If you’re handy or a tradie)
– Set-up / Pack-down
– One-off event help
