OUR MISSION STATEMENT reads...”to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through in-depth, caring Bible Study available to all.”

Originally founded in the USA in 1975 with one class there are now over 600 classes with tens of thousands participating weekly. The International arm was established in 1992 and now has grown to almost 50 countries and almost 40 languages.

We provide the studies, the training and the ongoing support to the leaders of the classes. Classes can be 5 people or 500 people and can consist of be men, women, mixed, youth, and children’s studies are also available to be run in conjunction with an adult class. All classes run on the 5 step approach of personal study, discussion in groups, teaching as a class, commentaries on the passage and caring for each other. There are currently enough studies to keep going for 17 years.

My involvement is as part of the Asia/Pacific which contains the largest Muslim country in the world (Indonesia), the largest Hindu country (India), the largest Communist country (China) as well as the largest Buddhist region (spread all over Asia) and yet there are many in these places wanting to study God’s Word. These are all enemy strongholds and the spiritual battle is fierce! So ... we need your prayers.

My role in CBSI is as Area Co-ordinator for Australia, Fiji and Samoa. This involves publicity about the work, training of new classes and on-going support, care and training of established classes.

I’m passionate about getting people into God’s Word and experiencing the delight of what the Lord has to say to us personally.
